Hello you dirty pigs :D
The B10 is the knife I really want to get right now !
I have a few questions for the people who made it at the blade show:
- How thick was the blade ?
- How did the handle feel ?
- Is the blade spine flat like the B11 or more bowie shapes ?
- Whwn will it be released ?

1. I didnt measure it, but @.25

I believe the 6,8 and 10 are 1/4" thick and the 4 is 3/16" thick. The blades are all a mild drop point, and the handles are the same as the standard large reciprene c handle on the older swamp rats like the battle rat. unknown release date as jerry hasn't said anything on them yet.
 
Did anyone grab the actual blade length on these? Are they actually 4, 6, 8 & 10? Or more like 4.5, 6.5, 8.5 & 10.5?

I think we tried measuring, but we had a hell of a time using a micrometer (nobody had a tape measure), but if we did it right they should be true at 4, 6, 8, and 10.
 
the basics had really good user feel.....I think they were a dream set!

Cashed in 20 hours of vacation so I'd have the cash available for one (and a 3 inch Rat 911).
 
So this might be a silly question. Will these be satin when the are in production? I think the old smooth black or the whole range of colors would be awesome.

Thanks. I had a FSH with mag handles and could not get used to it. I like the basic handles so I am really looking forward to the Basic 8. Now I will have to have two.

Anyone know if they will come with black blades? It's going to be a very long 2 weeks!!!!

Very long . . . I hope they offer it in satin and all the color options. One satin and one black for me. :)
 
How much bigger is the handle of the new Basics compared to the older Basics?

I liked how compact the old Basics were with their Overall Length compared to larger Fusion or Mag style handles
 
Less than one week to go (hopefully).

If the B10 is the same or less weight than the B11, then I'm sold. I love my FSH 2008SE, but it's a bit on the heavy side to justify taking along for extended backpacking. Hacing some extra blade length and lighter weight would be awesome.
