If you had to keep only one which one and why?

The handle and balance on my BR feels much better than
the B11, but I wonder if infi and length are more valuable?

Thanks for your insight.

I personally like the Basic 11 better. I had a Battle Rat and never warmed up to it, but I like the Basics for my little lady hands.

Besides, the B11 is Infi. ;)

So far the Battlerat has no fans....for and "unbiased" comparison I am
going to ask this question on the Rat forum : )

Go with the B-11, you have extra length, INFI, Full Flat Grind, and a front Talon hole. Beats the DFLE and the Rat.

Plus you can put one of these on it:

One vote for the BR from me. To me it looks better and will do what I want a knife to do without being too big...

What weave is THAT? That is a massive D-guard. Please, do share more info on it.

Personally I think the BR may be a better all rounder, although the Camp Tramp could even be discussed.

For me, I am partial to the BR. If you were talking about the BR vs. the Basic 9, I would grab the 9, but against the 11, I would take the BR.

Very light in the hand, a knife you could use all day for all kinds of chores and not get tired and an insane edge retention from the SR101. But, I have to caveat this biased towards the BR with the fact that I have not had the chance to use my B11 yet. It's only been handled at this point...

I would keep the Battle Rat. By that, I mean that you should keep the Basic 11. :)

I like the Battle Rat. The B-11 is one of those knives that I wanted to like more than I actually do. It's lighter for its size than I expected -- I don't think its a bad knife, and I don't regret owning one, but I don't think I'll be buying any more B-11s. If I had both and had to sell one, I'd probably keep the BR -- the B-11 would bring in more money and the BR can do anything that the B-11 could, even if it might take a couple more chops

OK that's what my conclusion was reaching jnphares. I love the
B11 but that handle........... and the balance...... goes to the BRat

You guys should cross into the swamp and read what they are saying.... :)

I've owned a battle rat, basic 7, 9, and 11 and I'd go with the basic 11 hands down. It's not that heavy and the extra length is all benefit to me. It is longer and a tad be less comfortable to carry, but only a little. it is also infi.
