Busse Basic 13

Good morning,
I am inquiring as to what everyone thinks is a possibility on Busse proper offering a Infi version of the 1311, or maybe a Basic 13.
 
Anything is possible, but I'm not holding my breath for something like this as it may very well NOT happen.

I'd love to see a Basic 13 though, especially if it was .170" thick with a full convex ground 2" wide blade.
 
With a finger choil for choke up work, the meltdown treatment, and possibly the SAR ridges on top of the spine near the handle.

IF this did come to reality, I'm thinking the meltdown and SAR jimping wouldn't be featured on this. The Basic series are meant to be low cost alternatives and both of those options would add cost, but it would probably have a finger choil..... ;)
 
Well seeing as how this is speculation maybe it could be called something else, maybe the "13 Hog-Lite" I would like to see the SAR ridges and a nice thin blade similar to the 1311 so it can be used as a machete without wearing you out.
 
There is never anyway of knowing what the Boss will come up with. I do not see it happening anytime soon but like I said, Even I don't know.

Could I get an idea of what this would cost if I ordered one through the custom shop.
 
Well there is the 1311, and it seems well loved, so I say go for it!!!

And i love the SAR jimping!!!! i wish it was an option on more blades...

Hey Garth can you sneak in a RMD and do a few things to it for me lmao

Sent an email as Garth indicated above - have not heard anything at all as of this time. Maybe we could get a group buy if we had enough to order a few more. I am thinking of a machete length blade with notches on top near the handle like the SAR and am open for other suggestions. I do want a light fast INFI blade, but do not want to sacrifice chop-ability. Maybe slightly longer than 13" Maybe 14" - ?? I would like to hear from others. - I do not want a .25 inch MOAB that I need a utility trailer to haul around my machete. A moab is a moab - that is not the build I am looking for.
 
I've posted on this topic a number of times before. Would love to see a basic 13/14, perhaps with a golok-style blade. If it were priced at 1.4 x the price of the B10, I could live with that.
 
the only way you could improve the 1311 was if it was in INFI... that's absolutely the only thing i'd do to it. It's PERFECT for what it's meant to do.

I don't think i'd be in on this one just because it wouldn't do anything i can't do with my MOAD

The MOAB is .41 :D I bet you could get the guys over at Scrap Yard to modify a 1311 to your liking. This way you will have something to chop with while you wait for your Infichete :D
