Busse Basics: Grind?

I was reading a little bit about the Busse Basics line and read that they have an assymetrical grind or something. What exactly does that mean, and how does it affect the performance of the knives. ANY help would be great on this.

Anyway, the asymmetrical edge is a combination "edge grind", not blade grind. At the edge, half is convex and half is flat.

This combination fuses ease of maintenance with enormous cutting power and edge retention.
