Did that get your attention?;) I must admit that is what I thought when I first started prowling around on this site. I thought, all these guys are just buying in to a marketing campaign. Then I started to think I thought the same thing about Chris Reeve knives until I got to hold one at a local gun store one day. Bought it the next day and never looked back, still the best folder I have ever owned. But this was different, for one they don't have any Busse at any of the stores around here so I would have to buy it with never having handled or even seen one in person. I figured I ought to just go ahead and buy one, see what all the fuss is about, maybe there really is something to these blades with such a dedicated following, they were right about CRK and besides if I don't like it they buy them up like hot cakes around here, I'll just sell it. Well I ordered my first Busse a week or so ago. I ordered a satin and tiger game warden from UncleTom on this site. (UncleTom was a pleasure to deal with by the way and I would recommend him 100%) I received the knife on Friday, tore in to the box, unwrapped the bubble rap to reveal my first Busse blade. Literally the first thing that popped into my head was holy crap! I ain't selling this!:D I was completely wrong. What a beautiful knife, the width and sharpness, fit and finish, ergonomics, the way it fits the hand, everything, flawless. The craftsmanship is impeccable. I now completely understand what the fuss is all about. I LOVE THIS KNIFE. And surprisingly its not hard to carry, which I thought it would be. Somebody's found a new EDC:D:D:D As I was sitting there admiring my new love I realized..... oh man!!...... there goes the kids college fund, vacations to the lake, and some how I have to explain to my wife that we are going to have to take at least a 1/4 of a cut in our monthly budget to feed my newly acquired Busse addition.......Does anyone know what they are paying for a pint of blood these days?

Awesome, now get yourself a nice, big bladed Busse, take it out and use it, and then you'll really see what the fuss is about.

Now you just have to use that GW to dismantle a 71 Plymouth and you'll really see what the fuss is about.
 
Congratulations and my deepest condolences. You have a very stout piece of steel there, but more will follow. You won't be able to control your urges. One of the ultimate HOGs (Progunner) supplied us addicts with a 12-step program that you WILL need at some point.

As he said "admitting that you have a problem is the first step." You may not think it's an issue right now, but once that ball gets rolling you ain't stopping it. Goin' down the rails on a crazy train comes to mind. Good luck the GW. You know you can collect the whole set. I think there's something like 26 different variations out there. Dr. Lunde has em all. And get yourself a nice sheath for that thing. Check out Dwayne "Leatherhog" Puckett's BADASS sheath. He does excellent work, as do all the other Busse recommended makers.
 
That's a great start Shooter81! Congratulations on your first! Just wait until you start getting those bigger blades.

Congrats on your first Busse! Any satin GW is a great score, the satin tiger is very beefy and fits the hand great:thumbup:

My first was a satin GW also. I bought 7 off the exchange the first week...I was hooked before I even got the first one in:eek: I thought you had to at least hold or do it before anything was addictive.
I was wrong people, just looking at it here got me.
 
i also bought my first busse sight unseen. had never held nor seen one in person. it took me a couple months to finally pull the trigger. that was over two years ago.

Game Wardens are great EDC knives!
What kind of sheath are you planning for this little tiger beauty?
I EDC black/DC warden in kydex for quite some time and - it's the best EDC I have had. I bet now you're starting to think - one warden is not enough...

Indeed. I took the photo below when there were only eighteen BCS Game Wardens, and now there are twenty-six:

Yes it did and man I is pissed :mad: I was supposed to meet Grind errr Porkducci a while ago and as a last thought I checked my e-mail. This popped up and I just had to answer it.

Well crap, now he is gone! Nothing pisses a girl off more than being stood up. Pork, I'm a looking for you, whether you like it or not you're going to see me again :grumpy:

And shooter, I'll let this slide just once, you don't want to piss this woman off.

And don't worry about Juicyducci she is just cranky because she missed GrindDucci; and when she misses GrindDucci.... a little bit of JuicyDucci equals A LOT of CRANKY.
