Busse Brothers & Sisters,

I had to make a trip to visit my Son, in Portland, Oregon. I had a surgery and the tumor that was removed was Cancerous, so before all the radiation and chemotherapy my Wife and I planned a trip to Portland, to see my Son.

I had remembered, that a guy had friended me the day I bought the ASH-1's from Mulder. His user ID. tuica, (A Romanian liquor made of plumbs, with a alcohol content of 20% to 80%) "I want some!"
That same day, I friended Andy the Aussie, he commented if Mulder had taken PayPal I would be SOL... Lol

I tried contacting tuica with "Visitors Messages" then I contacted tek77, thinking he may be able to PM with Gold Membership. He tried to contact tuica, but was unable to.
Thank You, tek77

I saw tuica had a Visitor Message with Nitaino, so I contacted Nitaino and I had tuica's
name. Nitaino replied, is his name Steve ------? I replied, Yes, sorry I forgot to include his name (just tuica). Nitaino gave me tuica's email address!
Thank You, Nitaino

I sent an email to tuica, packed up the Busse blades with hopes of meeting a Busse Brother!

And off to Portland, Oregon We drove. (647 miles)

Also I brought my EDC, Benchmade 581 auto assist, remember 581 for the Pictures.

I got a reply from tuica, as I was driving so my Wife read and replied for me, giving Steve my cell # to text or call.
Long Story short,
Steve called, and we met at OMSI (Oregon Museum of Sience and Industry)
Steve took me and Family on a Fabulous Tour!
Thank You, Steve

Thanks for the visit and posting, Curtis. He on the left, I am the other one. If any other Bussefans would like to come visit OMSI, we are open everyday in the winter except for Mondays. Be sure to take our fabulous, world-famous Blueback submarine tour. I am the weekend (Fri - Sun) Supervisor.

Be sure to bring your photo of the sun. We will see it again next June - maybe!

Cheers, Steve

Steve,

Are you a submarine vet? If yes, coner or nuc?

Curtis, Hey Brother right there with you. If you need to yak a little just give me a yell. I know Mulder and have spent many hours with that old boy up here as well as a few others.

Smoke and prayers Bro from a survivor, and you will be as well:thumbup:. Remember, just because someone mentions cancer does mean cash it in or give up. To hell with that, I want to live and I know you do as well. ;) Keep your chin up guy and go into this that you will win...

Special Thanks to Busse Sister, SueZQ

Not subs, but carriers. We are always looking for volunteers for interpretive guided tours, and/or maintenance. No experience needed. We assign people only on your ability to perform the job. My office number is: 503.797.4632, Fri-Mon.

Thanks, Steve

Officer, or enlisted?. And if enlisted, your rate? I was in for four, and left as a GMG2. 1976 - 1980. One Westpac - GONZO station/ The Gulf...;-)

Came in as an Ensign, left as a Lieutenant. My division was Machinist Mates, albeit the kind that took care of radiological and chemistry issues instead of traditional MM roles. 1989-91: World Cruise and start of the refueling overhaul.

I also did a second Div-O tour as Ordnance Officer (ORDO) on USS Scott (DDG-995) with GMGs (5"/54 Mk 45 Mod 0) and GMMs (SM2/Mk.26 launchers). 1991-93: We made a North Atlantic exercise deployment (Norway and Germany) and a Med run.

Thanks. Really enjoyed your "Theory" comment, and have passed it along. And is that an older Ducati or Guzzi logo?...;-)

It's a Guzzi logo from the late 80s and early 90s. My '87 and '93 both have it.

Thought so. I have Guzzi books. What models do you own? I have ridden my current BMW R80/7 since 1990. Goose pretty similar, and if I purchased another, it may be one of them. Like the shafties...;-)
