BUSSE BM

i'm not worried about the money really, but is the Busse battle mistress really worth waiting for all that time? is it that much different that the basics#9?

And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold the great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads...And His tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth; and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

hmmm.. better is relative here. For hard use, I would definitely say so. The handle material and slightly larger blade and the many little details... clearly a superior knife. On the other hand, the Boy Scouts who used the b9 seem awfully pleased with it. I think it is worth the dough (and you don't have to wait as I have one for sale at 375 deliverd right now)

Tough decision indeed. Here is what I would do. Get the Busse Basic #9 when they become available again. Then put in your order for the BM. When you get the BM sell the #9!

Trust me, you will not have a hard time selling your #9

Call me silly, but I'd prefer the Combat Basic. The Combat Basic will still way outperform 99% of the knives out there in toughness, cutting ability, etc, but I like the handle better on the Basic and the lower cost.

It's a tradeoff, but IMHO, I know what I would get.

I waited 10 months for my Battle Mistress and Badger Attack, took the mistress out to the eucalyptus wood pile in back of the house, and hacked until my arms were tired, and it still shaved hair off my arm. I've never owned knives like these! It's well worth the wait.
