Need some BF input. Am considering purchase of either ONE of the above for woods carry/primary camping carry. Overall they seem interchangable to me.
I have knives in both SR 101 and infi so I am generally aware of their performance differences. Will likely be selling my ferhman peacemaker or busse sar 5 to make "room" for purchase. So any comparison to those blades would be helpful. Would appreciate any thoughts, experience, or recommendations on either boss or howling rat.
Thanks

I don't have the BOSS Street but I do have some Busses of similar size and style. I had a HRLM and I definitely think that it is an excellent woods knife. Great handle shape, size and material (Micarta®) and the blade shape and steel (SR101) are unsurpassed for the price. Get a good sheath and you will never need another sheath knife for the woods.

I would buy the Boss street (I did), just because INFI at factory prices is the way to go.

I've become something of an INFI snob though, and the SR will serve you probably just as well.

The BOSS Street is the only Busse I've handled. That said, it feels really good in hand. Better than any other production knife I've handled. Good balance and pure functionality. It's not a delicate slicer, but it's not too heavy and it feels indestructible.

I can't resist putting a photo up. I'm really happy with how this one turned out.

The only real question is whether to buy the cheap version Boss Street and do a ghetto strip or wait for a satin version and pay more for a finished knife.

Do the work yourself! Its a great way to spend quality time with a new blade and get to know it a little better. Plus, you can always look at it afterwards and say to yourself "I do good work! Look how nice this looks now!"
