Hey ya hogs,

Would anyone else be interested in Busse making something like this? I've always wanted a proper bush sword and dang if there's any company that could do it justice it would be Busse. The waki and rucki and AK are cool, but I'm interested in more of a Basic 13 profile - but WAY longer.

A proper 20+ inch blade (yes you read that right) all around bush machete/hacking tool/piece of awesomeness. Room for a proper two handed grip. Res-C or normal handle scales - but man I think Res-C on this would be killer.

Infi or SR-101. Doesn't matter to me. I drew up a prototype of what I have in mind - I chucked a NMSFNO and a spyderco Paramilitary 2 in there for scale on the second photo. I am talking a HUNK of steel. Anyone else think this would be epic?

I like the idea too but I've heard arguments against a Busse Machete and they made sense at the time. I'd still buy one even if it was impractical and expensive.

Machete/Bush/Hacking tools are common across the globe. Each region has developed/evolved the parameters of the local blade to meet the needs of the people working with/in the local vegetation. One common denominator looks to be a thin wide blade for dealing with softer vegetation. We're not cutting down oak trees here.

I am on record as pitching for something like a 'standard' 'Latin American' pattern machete, 16 - 18" blade, 0.125" thick MAX, SR-101 or SR-77, Res- C handle.
