Busse Butts Poll

In another thread, someone made a comment about not liking the butt on the TAC handles. I decided to take the temperature of the crowd. Here are a selection of butt styles for your perusal. My favorite is still the shaved straight with rope slabs, shown on the bottom left.

Left to Right

Top:

SF, long EDC, TAC, Fusion

Bottom:

Shaved Straight, short EDC, regular straight, Ergo

I'm partial to the EDC's, and not fond of the Tac pommels ( don't like pointy).

All the lowers, but favorite would be 2nd from the right.

Fusion is the bomb! The extension of the tang to create a pommel is one of the things that drew me to Busse. I tend to shatter handles otherwise. Not crushing skulls, but it is a cool label.

Some of the a$$less grinds definitely change (for the better to me) the handling of the model.

I've found this most true in the NO-e (with the Raptor cut micarta), and IIRC, the Euro 4.

No butt at all - like in a Gamw Warden - for a small knife and Fusion for the big knife.

Anything but the pointy skull crusher. I generally don't crush skulls, the pointy thing jabs your ribs on high-rise sheaths, and you can'y put your palm on the back of the knife to drive it into something.

I prolly like the e-handle butts best.

And as for butts on Busses the one I dont like is the one on the HR.

Now that I've seen the pic I think Gimmejr is onto something here. :thumbup:
Butts on GF's are much better looking than any on a Busse knife.

I change my vote to the GF Butt.

For choppers I like the fusion
for EDC I prefer the warden type
for fighters (if I had to chrush skulls for some reason) the smart choice would be the skull crusher

My real favorite is the regular straight!
