Howdy folks.
I've just acquired my first Busse knife. It is a Combat Grade Fusion Battle Mistress. The blade is green and the handle is a brownish color. The knife came with a kydex sheath with a drop leg belt loop and a leg strap. The coating is mostly there still with just some scratches and wear marks on it.

I think I got a fair deal on it, but I'm wondering just what you all think it's worth considering the condition and the sheath.

Here are some pictures

That is a great first Busse. Not really sure what these are going for on the secondary market right now. But if you are happy with the knife and the price you paid then you got a great deal.

If you scrub the micarta with a little bleach and an old tooth brush. Then wash it with dish soap VERY WELL, rinse and let it dry. It usually comes out looking pretty close to new. Then you can make it yours and get it dirty your self. It may even look like its worth a few more bucks.

I was thinking the same thing, but I wouldn't necessarily bring out the bleach to start out with; try cleaning it with some good dish detergent first, like Dawn.
Rinse, repeat, it will come back like new once you get the grubby paw prints off it.
Nice acquisition, you can gauge its approximate value by doing some searches on your own in the Busse knives for sale forums.

As Garth said "That is a Great first Busse"! Spot on with that. The CGFBM was one of my firsts also and all I can say is make sure she is good and sharp then go hit a few things with it. I think you will find you got a fair deal no matter what she cost you. Please also post pic's.:)

I have done some looking but I can't seem to find one that's the same. I found several similar models, but not the same model in the same condition. I know what very slight differences can be a big deal in the Busse community. Does the sheath add to the value much?

I'd say it is worth about $580-$600 with the sheath in lightly used condition. The Nuclear Meltdown FBMs sell for more but I like the CG FBM the best. Awesome user. That micarta needs washed. ;)

Looks like an Azwelke pancake sheath maybe? Doesn't look like magnum handles but its hard to tell in the pics.

I bought one in similar condition with a generic plastic-sleeve-inside-nylon-sheath for about $500 a year ago. Add $50 for the sheath maybe.

Very nice first Busse, if you decide to get all chop happy with it be warned, its hard to stop choppin

Any Busse is a great first Busse, but the CGFBM is a fave of mine, congrats. That looks like a Okuden sheath, $79 new.

It's so hard to search for values now, as most everyone has for some reason decided to delete prices after the sale. Don't get me started.

I have the same okuden on mine. Congratz on your score man, weird though how worn the handles look considering how unused the coating appears. Maybe it's just the pics, either way, she's got good character  And prices really do vary at different times of year, different condition of the knife, different configurations.. lowest I've seen em sell for was $400, highest was maybe $650(?). Really great knife to start your addic...I mean, collection. GREAT kydex too!

looks like heavy fondlage only to me. like my AK slabs before I beat it a little and stripped it. Hot water and dish soap will have it looking almost brand new in no time.

Looks like that thing has only been used to slice a lot of air. Either that or the previous owner was a little greasy.

Anyways, congrats on your first Busse.

It's a special edition that was shipped on top on bacon.

+1 to a little dish soap at most. I'm OCD about clean, plus I like to get my own oils on there. Some kinda mechaphilia, one with the blade, Freudian, mark my territory stuff goin on there.
