Busse Combat Basic Edge Orientation

I just picked up a new Busse CombatBasic #5. I was pleasently surprised to see Busse added an extra 0.5" to the blade length. This was measured point to handle.

The instructions are not clear which side has the convex edge. I assume that the diagram has the knife pointing into the page. This seems to agree with what I see on the blade.

I have a burr running along the entire edge on the flat edge side. Should I swipe this off before using or is this type of edge normally feels?

Will, look down the blade with the edge facing up, you should easily be able to see the convex grind on the right hand side.

As for the burr, I can't remember if my Basic came like that, but it is the same as any other burr, you would not want to leave it on.
