I thought the hatchet hadn't been very popular, and therefore had been discontinued. However, that was an error on my part. From a note from Donald:

It wasn't discontinued. It was a "custom" piece perhaps ordered by Andy Prisco or created by Jerry Busse or whatever. I bought it from Andy and eventually traded it back to him. There were some posts at the time from one of the shows. There were about 3 others, some of which had beaks on the back, instead of being flat like mine

Sweet.....

That would look great in my collection, let me know if you ever want to get rid of or trade it.

Thanks, folks, but the hatchet isn't mine. It belonged to Donald, who traded it back to Andy Prisco, per the quote in the first post. Whether Andy still has it or not, I don't know. I just posted the photos because of the unusualness of the item, and I knew you'd appreciate it.

I'd like to say thanks again to Don, for mentioning the hatchet on the swamp rat forum, and sharing the photos with me, and, by extensiion, the rest of you Busse fans. :)
