Hypothetical question: say, someone has a bunch of vacation time to burn, and was looking for some short day trips to kill some time. I live in central Indiana. Do people make runs out to the Busse factory? Can you shake the man's hand, buy a blade, and snap a few pics for the scrapbook? :)

Unfortunately not. I dont know why though. A lot of other knife companies allow you to tour their factory.

Also it was good of you to ask because that would suck to drive all the way out there, and not be able to tour Busse Combat,or shake the mans hand.

I'm in central PA and would love to go.
Then...hit the Horton Compound!!

If you can get past the claymores and the sniper fire, you might catch a glimpse of the man. As you're gasping your last breath. :p

i'd think you could go and talk to people there. if you were headed in that direction it would probably worth stopping by to say high, though I don't know what the policy is for buying blades directly like that.

always worth calling and asking :)

I'm with ya Lycosa :) The Horton knives look pretty sweet too, I'm thinking of picking one of those up. I like the industrial / high tech look he goes for, he's got a good eye for design.

Jah...the Booze might be the secret password!
But bring your combat helmet just in case.

Busse Combat has a closed factory policy so you won't be allowed in the facility. If you will be in the neighborhood call in advance and see if there is any chance you can meet them at a local eatery and have lunch.
:D:D

I asked the same thing years ago. Alas, no go.

Where you at in Indiana? I'm in Columbus.

Indianapolis here!

It's too bad, that would have been a fun roadtrip, and a good excuse to buy some more INFI. I'm too lazy to drive to Atlanta this year :)

With the amount of time some of us spend on here,do you think any work would get done at the factory if Hogs were allowed visits.:eek::)

NO CAN DO FOR YOU...sorry:(

I am very sorry but we have a closed shop policy...with the military orders we get we can not allow it.

Maybe some day...

Amy-0

and Coor's Light and JWB will never do it...sorry

Like I have said before, when I visited some other shops I called them on Monday, they said they needed time to put away military orders and such, but feel free to come on Friday. Just a suggestion...
