So I had mailed out my broken Boss street to Ohio a little while back. I didn't want to ship it in the sheath so they wouldn't have to pay extra to mail it back, so I packed it in a cut up nylon sheath with bike tubing over the blade/cardboard. Yesterday I received a notice from the post office that I had a package from Busse and I needed to pick it up and sign for it. I didn't have time before work so today I headed out to the post before the gym. I went and checked my mail before going to the post office and saw that a box from busse was in my mailbox! Great, I'll save myself a trip to the post office. I go to the gym and come out and finally get home and open the box. Wow.. this box felt light! I opened it up, i gasped! It was the makeshift shipping sheath I put in the box with the knife! I had then convinced myself that a postal worker opened it up and repacked it. Then I convinced myself Busse combat told me to go screw myself.

I ran back out to the truck to see the notice the PO left me, sure enough it had a different tracking number! What a relief. Went back to the PO and picked up my new Boss Street. Awesome!

Two things:

1. The boss street came sharp, very sharp. Sharper than any other Busse i've gotten with factory edges, Excellent!

2. You guys really didn't need to spend the extra money sending me back the throwaway sheath! I feel really bad! I wish I sent a note saying to just trash it and saved you guys some shipping! I was also kind of embarrased to think that someone thought I was actually using it.. lol.

Thanks again for the awesome knife, and dealing with idiots like me who do things they shouldn't be doing with knives. This is why i'll always buy Busse!

I dont know what you are talking about Mike...your custom sheaths are up there with Mashed Cat and Leatherman. :D

Remember the one I sent to you? LMAO. It was the same kind, only cut the bottom off and cut the strap off, with cardboard and inner tubing stuffed inside to provide retention. So ridiculous.

That's funny. :D

Nobody takes care of you better than the Busse gang. Somebody at Busse probably figured that if that's what you were using, you probably couldn't afford another one so they better get it back to you.

Good one...

I was just testing my zilla after a little more work on it, yeah, I threw the knife into my shin while wearing basketball shorts, it stuck in and fell out. Now I gotta crazy glue it and go to work!

Yup. They probably thought you spend so much on knives you can't afford sheaths, so they sent it back to keep you from crying your eyes out and rubbing them raw with those noodly little arms of yours.

:)

Basketball shorts or jeans, not sure it would make a difference with the weight and momentum of the KZ.

Hope you have lots of glue :-)

Maybe you could take some pics and do a short review on how to glue yourself up. Might come in handy for people that hang out on a knife forum.

Yeah really, it didn't make any difference for the NMFBM I can tell you.

The KZ is even heavier.
