This brings back memories of placing mail orders from Boys Life magazine then checking the mail box everyday for six weeks.Think back to the days when people would clip an ad from a magazine, mail a hand written check to an obscure PO Box in some obscure location............and wait. No notifications, tracking, etc. It just miraculously show up in the mail one day.
.... same here mate, as a kid I had no patience at all (as an adult I would suggest a case could be made I STILL don't)... I would have to save my $s, decided what I wanted, give my mother the savings, she would write a cheque, and then the waiting would start... I can remember the joy involved in phoning through and order and just using a credit card the first time (it was for a Charter Arms AR7 in 1983 or 84)...that 1/2ed the wait to only a couple of weeks.... how thngs have changed...!!!!!!This brings back memories of placing mail orders from Boys Life magazine then checking the mail box everyday for six weeks.
Lexi could've made it easy on everyone and just posted her cell number to keep things moving.

..... nope... not post 1996, well I could get a C Class licence (which covers rimfire semis and pump shotguns) but could not be bothered for the stuffing around. That AR7 was in fact THE WORST firearm I ever owned. It broke several internal parts at different times over a life span of less than 1K rounds. I can ever recall firing an entire magazine without a stoppage. I ended up giving the remains of it for spares to another mate who had one. I replaced it with a Rossi pump .22 (Winchester copy) that was MUCH more fun and much less frustrating !!!!! I actually wish I still had the Rossi, it would be a fun toy still but I got all grown up (at 15) and decided I wanted an accurate bolt action and got the Brno (CZ) Mod 2 I still have today...AR7 are still legal in Oz?..... Cause it's rim fire, I suppose?.....
