Guys, I've bought 5 Busse knives over the last 2 months and all I can say is "damn, worth every penny." I've got an AK, HH FSH, 2 GW's and a FBM on the way, the Busse stuff truly is a rush! I became familiar on this forum with the Busse name and then it took off from there, anyway thanks guys! HOG on!

New guy here... Does Busse Combat make only one model at a time or more than one? I only see the FBM on the site now. I guess I could call them, but thought someone might bring me up to speed on their offerings.

Busse and their two sister companies (Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard Knife Works) are currently working under a policy of offering single patterns for sale, waiting until the market demand for that pattern starts to taper down, and then bringing out a different knife. They do this in an effort to speed up deliveries, as having several different models at once selling faster than they could make them was starting to create extremely long gaps between ordering and actually receiving your knife. They're still not what anyone would refer to as "speedy" but, believe it or not, it has worked to some extent. The Battle Mistress has been up for a good long while now, so it will likely be replaced by a new offering before long. The original idea was to bring out models on a cycle, so if you missed a ____ the first time around, it would be offered again later. Currently, though, the individual models are continuing to sell for longer than the durations that cycle idea was based on, so who knows what will end up happening. If you're willing to pay for them, a wide selection of Busse knives is regularly available in the individual for sale forums.

Occassionally all of these outfits bring out special/limited runs of a new or different pattern that is not going to be part of the normal line---you have to be quick, though; the "HOGs" that prowl the Busse forum usually have special runs snapped up very fast. It's a friendly community there...but highly competitive. ;)

t1mpani,
Thanks for the info... I now see how the "Busse system" works and it makes sense. Being a newbie to the Busse forum I was having trouble figuring how the different knives were offered. Thanks...
