Hello.

I am looking at ordeing a Busse blade and I have found the offerings on the combat site and the company store site. I have also noticed people posting regarding the custom shop.

Sorry for the silly question, but how does one order from them? Is there a site or contact you can give me?

Thanks

Someone more knowledgeable may chime in but I'd try contacting Garth/Amy-0 (same contacts as the details at this link - http://www.bussecombat.com ), not IIRC via the company store...

Hope that helps. Post pics of what you get!:D

Give them a call during the week at this number (419) 923-6471 and talk to Garth or Amy.

Tell them what your looking for and they can probably do it. This is how I have gotten customs in the past.

You have to got through Amy or Garth, not necessarily in that order. If Jerry answers, hang up.
:D

Can they remake any older model for you? And what is the markup in general for a comparable regular offering?

Used to be $100 per inch and a really long wait time (years). Probably more $ now.

Your best bet to contact the custom shop is e-mail Garth at garth@bussecombat.com

Garth and the custom shop has been super busy and sometimes it takes a liitle while for Garth to get back to your e-mails.

But ... he always does get back to you. The work is superb. And the wait really isn't that long.

It's worth it.

only if you keep up with it. I don't mean to make garth or anyone at busse out to look bad in any way, but a customer going into it (by asking the question before hand) needs to be aware of the situation in a realistic manner. Garth is slammed with work 24/7 year round. If you need to get ahold of him within a specific time frame (by friday or "within 3 days" etc) you may need to call the shop instead of relying on a single email to him. The customer service is wonderful, but the lead time in both custom work and email responses may be longer then a new customer is used to. As long as he knows your question has been sent to him, garth will respond.

But, as with all things business and internet: keep up with it. If you have haven't heard back in 2 weeks, send another email. If you have custom work in the shop and are ansy about when it's coming, send 6 month check up emails after the second year. Try to be nice about it.

OP,

I guess your definition of wait times is slightly different than mine.
I've been waiting for :foot:

Oops, what I meant to say was:

Garth is the MAN.

I love Busse

that is cool, if they are getting blades out of the custom shop in 3 yrs+, randall is currently a 5 year wait---both are still very much worth the wait---to me!!

I absolutely have to endorse this. It's just common sense!

It probably is. Once I've convinced myself I want something, I'm content once it's on order. I've waited for, well, quite a few years before (from custom makers).

Somehow, once it's on order, it seems to satisfy that little demon whispering in my ear.:)
