I'm sure most of you guys are aware of the Alan Wood Bushlore knife (for those who haven't heard of it: http://www.alanwoodknives.com/the-woodlore-knife-story.html). It's the knife Ray Mears uses, and is the prototypical bushcraft knife, being a refinement of the classic nordic scandi grind. It's been copied over and over, notably by companies like spyderco: http://www.heinnie.com/spyderco-bushcraft-g10

This lead me to thinking that perhaps Busse might like to try their hand at this pattern of knife, with a classic scandi grind. I know I would buy one in a heartbeat if they did. What do you guys think?

I would LOVE to see a Busse with a Scandi grind. But only on one side. Oh wait that's a chisel grind.
That's what I meant.:D

It would be hard to fit the trademark Busse talon hole into that design.

The CABS (Choilless Anorexic BOSS Street) is close, but no scandi grind.

ah, well I wasn't aware of the CABS. You stick a scandi grind on one of those and I dare say it would rival any bushcraft knife. Would the custom shop make one of those do you think?

I just don't see Busse in that space. Full steel handles and "thick" widths are the norm. Even in "anorexic" knives, you are talking much more steel than your average bush crafter.

A good Mora is a perfect bushcraft type knife. I've put mine to the test, sharpness wise. Would I split wood with it? Probably not. But that's what my Busse's are for. ;)
