I've seen some of the knives with these, and there is an offer for them when purchasing a Satin Jack. Can these be bought by themselves? Are their any customization options or is there just a standard style? My Battle Mistresses keep waking me up in the middle of the night asking me to get them dogtags :)

I have mine on my keychain! :D

It is about 2 1/4 x 1 1/8 inches, and appears to be aluminum. Has a nice ring to it. The reverse side is blank. The obverse side is attractive like the picture on the web site.

I know it would cost more to stamp something on the other side, but I have an idea that would make these very useful. Stamp the reverse side with:
If found please return to,
Busse Combat Knife Co.

Tel: (419) 923-6471
Fax: (419) 923-2337
or send an email to info@bussecombat.com

Of course some adjustments/selection would have to be made to make it fit. Does anyone know if Postage Guaranteed is honored by the post office, or does that just mean that the recipient will pay the sender? Might be expensive internationally.

This would be advantagous. It would give everyone a very good reason to have one on their key chain or some other object. It would provide contact info for anyone who was interested in a Busse knife.

If someone found your keys, and shipped them off to Busse, you could retrieve them for a fee to Busse.

I actually received something similar from a tool company. It also seved as a screwdriver. Luckily when I had it on my key ring, I never found out how efficacious this system was. Does anyone know if this works? If it does, and Busse Combat was willing, it would make a great way to get those keys back that you want to stay anonymous, but would still like to have a way to retrieve.

Since I imagine some of those remote entry devices are fairly expensive, it might be a good investment. I can just see that spouse now:
(Imagine a Suspicious look.)
Honey (with little underlying steel to the voice), what is this box from Busse?
Answer A: It is a knife, I had to get it because it comes with an anonymous way to protect our keys so we don't lose that remote entry to your car!

Answer B:
It is a key chain fob, that can be used to provide a way to get your keys returned, without risk, if you lose them.

Why is it so heavy? That would be awfully heavy to put on my keychain.
Uhhh...hmmmmmmm....wellll...the keychain protector is just part of it. You have to buy a knife to get the system.

Hehehe, that would be one heck of a key protection system :) Wonder if I could get a BM onto an airplane as long as it was attached to my keys :D

Tell ya what, put my return address on your tag. I'll be glad to pay the shipping.;);)

Sounds like a good way for me to build my collection. Sure, put my address down.:)

I have the Busse Combat patch, and would sure like to have the dogtags to go with it :( How about it Jerry?

I Wish I could get a Busse hat.(cap)
I Wish I could get a Lean Mean ZT Badger Attack with a Satin Jack handle. (straight)

Dark Nemesis,
Please let us know how this turns out. I posted in the Bussecombat.com forum about getting some dog tags and did not get much of a response. I am interested in getting a dog tag or two myself.

Shawn

Of course it is attached to this.

I will be more than happy to accomodate your obsession with separating the dog tags from that fine OLD "MeanStreet" with 5/16" of A-2 Steel, Solid Rivet Handle. All you have to do is ask as you know.:D

Some day if you have enough BALLS and go into a branch of the
US Armed Forces you might just get a Dog Tag that might really
mean something to you in your future

....and someday I just might get a Busse Dog Tag, too....if that's ok with you, of course.
Thank you for your input,
Nutless Wonder (Owen)

Hmm, what exactly do genuine military dog tags with a person's information have to do with Busse dog tags that were made for knives with a COMPANY'S ADDRESS !!! have to do with each other? :)

MOC, I want them to go onto my knives, NOT TO WEAR THEM, lol :)

I have served 14 years in the USMC. Have you served in any branch of the service?
A Busse Dog Tag with the companies address is not the same as my dog tags. My Busse's are so tough that they dont need to wear a gas mask or need a blood type, I on the other hand do.

Semper Fi.

I forget to add:
OwenM,
A couple of questions if you dont mind.
What is the top badge? And what branch of service? I can't make it out in the picture. Did you use your Busse's while you were in or just issue junk?
