Wow. That's the closest knockoff to a real Busse folder I've ever seen. Be careful, fellas.

Not again! :(
Sorry, those fake Busse folder threads are boring, come up every few months...

Yep. Funny thing is, people keep buying them. And you can't even call 'em counterfeits. That's what makes me wonder.

There's a fool born every minute . . .

What surprises me, is the fact that it was shipped from the US, the seller asked for 450!!!! (busse price range) and he declined two offers before ending the publication...
...the guy is a master of fraud, the law he cited does not cover brand rights, product design or trademarks... you have a hint about what to expect from him as a seller.

Our knife patterns are "Original Work"

Copyright Law of the United States of America

Section 102 of the Copyright Act States:

You folks at the real BUSSE had best be careful.
You wouldn't want to copy any "Original Work" knife patterns from a low life counterfeiter that is riding on the coat-tails of your plagiarized fine company name.
That seller must be a complete and total asshat.

But it's a 65 on the HRC! And its green G10 handles are awfully black.

Plus, I'm not sure why they are attempting to quote USC section 102 unless the design is copyrighted, which they usually aren't. Busse is more of a trademark guy anyways.

/IP Law

Wow, that same fake knife was listed a while ago for something like $40 or $50!

I guess inflation is rampant!

ANY time I see those, I report them immediately. Hopefully keep the guy from making any sales.

Busse has too made a folder, where's that pic of the folding BOSS Jack from the wearagloveaganzaaaa!!!!!!!!?

der_vincent,

You may not link to an active auction from any site. For the next time, you may post the images themselves, but no links to the images nor the auction until it's over. Consider yourself lucky that I'm only seeing this now, and that the auction has already ended, but when you posted this thread, there was still a good hour left on the clock. and that is a sitewide violation.

Yes, we've seen this FAKE (I reckon the word "counterfeit" is not applicable here, but "despicable" sure as hell is) before, and it still burns some of us quite a bit when it reappears. ..And look! East Earl, PA. is just a fairly short ride from here... Hmmmmmm ...Wonder how I could obtain that seller's address and stop by for a chat about the difference between "original work" :barf: and "stolen registered business name". ;)

Anyway, I'm gonna throw a lock on this.

Please remember, folks... No links to active auctions, but once they have ended that's acceptable...and if you want to alert us faster than that to hopefully save one of us from bidding on a fake, please save the pix and upload them to your post, not link to them. Thanks! :)
