Couple of pics I took of my fav SJT while on a hike last weekend. A lot of the snow has melted but it looks to be 10-15 feet in the valleys still and I still went through some that was waist deep, a whole lot better than chest deep!

Yeah oddly enough when sitting it on my pack today I noticed the green in the snakeskin is almost identical to the foliage green of my pack and in ACUS!!
 
Where'd you go on your hike? Just curious - used to live in Anchorage and the pics of the snow (and the knife) are nice to see!!!
 
Man, it's June, snow? You gotta move south!
Nice knife though, bet you don't have to worry about a swat team jumping you if someone sees you carrying it.Hey maybe I gotta move north!
 
I sure miss the after work summer time run to the top of Flattop, how is Anchorage these days?

Would you believe only 4500 feet!!! The valley is near the ocean and pretty protected so I bet some of the snow might even be year round. I've been further north up around 8000-9000 and not had snow in the August time frame so it'll be interesting to see if it's still here!
