How long does it usually take Busse to forge your blade and send it to you? Asking because I am getting the FMV8. TGA2 was like 4 months right?

I don't think anyone can really answer your question. For my BIG NMFSH it only took 3 weeks. I think my SOB was 4 or 5 weeks, while the Park Ranger has been 4 months. I would wager more on the 4 month side but that is just a guess.
 
The current estimate on the Busse site is 6-20 weeks. The A2TGs came in just under that, but I'd guess that the deeper we've gotten into the current round of offers, the more likely it is that the wait times will be longer than that estimate. That was certainly the case in Op2Wks Pt1.

I know they've stated that they're trying to better job of staying on top of the order backlog in this round, but there have been A LOT of offers since the TGs and it's hard to imagine that the wait for current offers won't be longer than it was for the early ones. I generally don't sweat the wait times though and always felt my patience was well-rewarded when the items were received. It's the ticket to play in the trough I guess.

Plus it gives me some time to gather funds for ALL these purchases lol
 
Just to clarify, Busse knives are not forged, but made by stock removal. The initial shaping is done by CNC machines, with varying degrees of hand finishing depending on the model and options. Final sharpening is by hand.

Yea not many guys out there making legit forged blades at a price you can afford. To took a class and forged one with hammer, Tongs and a forge and it was a lot of work but very fun
 
You can get a rough idea of how long it's taking from the OP2WP2 Shipping Info thread. On the latest things to ship--A2 Team Geminis and BG Battle Saws--it's been about four months from the initial offer date to the first shipping notices. If Operation 2 Weeks Part 1 is any guide, those times will get longer as OP2WP2 goes on.
 
You pay 2 weeks before it ships. Otherwise we'd all of been living in cardboard boxes over christmas time if it was pay the day
