Busse folder idea

So what about rather than 1 Busse folder, we get a few different designs? They can mimic some of the popular fixed blade designs. A team gemini flipper, a hellrazor blade, A smaller AMS style blade, etc… With the release of a fixed blade design, they can have a limited run of folders to match. If they don't want to manufacture them, they could do what Swamp Rat did with the Rat Trap. Maybe Lionsteel or ZT would do a collaboration? I'm really liking the Team Gemini folder idea. The AMS blade design would be great in a folder. What do you guys think?
 
I think busse needs to stick to fixed blades. That's what they do. There are perfect folders out there that have been developed over years. Just like Busse has developed such perfect fixed blades. And honestly. If the folder looks anything remotely close to that sneak peek photo that floats around. I want nothing to do with it. I also don't think infi is the best steel for a folder. Sorry I suck.
 
That's why I said to outsource it. INFI isn't the best small blade steel but people are CONSTANTLY asking for it. Busse doesn't only use INFI though as evidenced with the Steak Knives. Elmax seems to work well for people.

I agree. I can't see the folder coming to the mass market. Busse makes knives that you can't kill. Can you imagine what people will do with their Busse folders? Imagine how many pics of dead folders you'd see after the first day of release - people battening with them, chopping cars in half, other stupid stuff. It'd be a marketing disaster for Busse. Even if they did make it big and tough it's still not going to be as strong as a fixed blade, and it would probably be too big to be a practical folder then anyway.

Now, if Jerry would return his attention to making my large cleaver/hatchet and thin NICK…

I wasn't asking if a folder is a good idea. We have already gone over that topic many times here. Thank you for not addressing my question. Anyway for those that actually want a folder, what do you think?

I like Hell razor design a lot, colab with ZT to make a nice flipper would be awesome, they too like overbuilt blades over there.

Busse/Hinderer TGLB Folder... :eek: :D

CTS/XTP if ya don't like INFI or Elmax in a folder.
LOVE the CTS/XTP. Been EDC'ing an XM-18 on and off for over a year and a half without sharpening and it still slices newsprint. :thumbup:

Id go fir the hell razor too, its the best big blade shape that would look cool scaled down.
 
I already have folders I like or want. I don't think we'll see any collaboration with other makers/manufacturers either. I could be wrong though. Jerry might need another ranch. ;)
