Busse Folder

Serms to me there are a couple JB folders out there in the world! LOL! Got my first Jerry Busse back in 1986/87, he made me the 82nd Abn, then a 2nd one a bit later and it was "HOG ON" from then on.
Anyway there a couple folders out there in the world, they are just uber tuff to find! Then, IF you do a locate one, it will be super tough im sure to get it out of the owner! Lol!

Been away from collecting Busse for a long time but seems like Swamp Rat might have made a couple...???...shoot cant remember all this stuff any more! Lol! I used to be pretty knowledgable about ALL things Busse as i owned well over 100 Busse knives at one time and I over 200 total in my life time. Lol! Wow..."those were the days...girls were girls and men were men", as the ol tune goes! Haaaaa!

Anyway, good luck on the search for the grail folders and the one i had is long gone! Really cant remember if he did a couple true proto's under the BC logo or Swamp Rat??? Guess I didn't retain all those details i used to have stored up in the ol noggin!

Right. The Rat Trap was a fairly conventional locking folder with S30V blade from Swamp Rat—excellent knife—and there were a very few INFI bladed prototypes released many moons ago which never made it into general production. There have also been custom makers who have taken blades from some of the smaller INFI fixed blade knives and used them in folders.
But for years Jerry has been trying to perfect—in his mad-genius brain—the “Signature Busse Folder”. He is obviously committed to releasing that knife, from statements he has made and defended in recent years, and it seems the internal pace of development on the project at Busse Combat has become feverish over that time frame.
My idea for this thread was just as a marker showing support for his determination to get that done, and I know there is much more support out there than is represented in this thread. But there have been many such threads started over the last 20+ years, with still no knife in sight, and I think people may have become a little dubious or jaded. When you look at what Jerry Busse’s determination has accomplished over the past several decades, though—all of the innovations, all of the industry-rocking designs and quality improvements, all of the success—you have to know this IS happening. 👍
