Ok, I'm new here so have mercy.:o I'm a big fan of the BK&T Combat Bowie due to its chopping power, and found out they are no longer in business. Long story short, I began shopping for a new knife and discovered Knifetest.com on youtube. The Busse Fusion Battle Mistress FFBM is everything I never knew I always wanted! Are these still in production???

You pretty much will have to watch the exchange for them. They are still pretty reasonably priced.

Welcome aboard! Stick around here long enough, and you will find there is plenty of stuff you didn't know you needed.

"Reasonably priced," however, might mean something different to you if you're comparing a $100-$150 BK-9.

An FFBM is going to run you $400 to $500 at least.

Good point, Guyon. Worth every penny though.

Hey I just recieved a FFBM yesterday paid $500 plus pp fees. What a awsume knife and after watching the knife test on it so knowing how truely tough it is I am very happy. Keep your eyes open you will find one for yourself.

I have a feeling these things are just gonna keep going up in price too. I'd prefer not to be selling the ones I've got, but you know how it is - out with the old, in with the new!

What about that FBM LE though....really worth over 1k at this point?!?!

The FBM LE is a powerhouse. Worth every penny.

I'm pretty sure that's what Field & Stream featured as one of its top 20 knives of all time.

Here's some chopper love for you. The Super Seven.

R to L: MOASH, SHBM, BM-E, FBM CG, FFBM, FBM SE, FBM LE.

Man, this is like knife porn. Hehe. What did they sell for new?

$367 new in early 2007. Add $35 for the mag handles. $500 is a great price for that knife. If you can afford to, you should jump on Grim's.

As for the FBMLE...I'm glad I got mine when I did because just a month later they were out of the BCS and much more expensive. Now I just need to decide whether I'm gonna use mine, safe it, modify it, or sell/trade it.

Oh, and Kev, check http://www.bussecollector.com/catalog/ for all sorts of great info on most of the Busse collection.

Man ain't that the truth!

I much prefer the LE if you could spring for a little extra. The FFBM lost the great feel with the added wieght IMO. Sold it the next day.

The FBM LE is the finest production knife ever made if you ask me. Satin finish and the awesome grind's are a thing of beauty and it's still a beast.

Its odd because not too long ago I saw at least one FBM LE selling on the exchange for well below it's retail value!

Sometimes I see posts on the exchange and can't help but wonder if that part of the forum exists on a plane of existance much different from our own, where logic and reason simply refuse to exist...

Then again, I'm sure people have seen some of my posts / threads (maybe this one?!?!) and thought the exact same thing! :p

*BTW, thanks for the kind words GatMan! :D

just a week or two ago, i remember seeing one FBMLE selling for right around $620 shipped...well below original retail price from BCS.....and i saw many in the $650 range....

now i see them on ebay for $850+, and i see one in the exchange forum for $1100.....

the thing is, if you're patient, you can still find them for around $700...which was the original retail price.....

Well, if anyone has a MOASH or an Off Duty they don't want anymore, I'll trade straight up for my FBMLE (I didn't even know I wanted to sell it!!!) :p:p:p
