Busse Game Warden ! Who has one ?

I've been around here and a Busse owner for quite some time now . Long enough to know that most Busse collectors and users seem to like the large knives . But when I have read anything about the Game Warden it's been good .

So who owns a Warden ? Do you actually use it ? What do you use it for and how do you find it handles that job ? I own one , but to be honest I never really use it as I carry a ZT folder ALL the time and I usually carry a larger knife when in the woods .

I would like to make use of it or any small fixed blade more than I do , but I don't seem to see the need for it .

Straighten me out guys ! Tell me all the things you do with your Game Warden or other small fixed blades .

The GW was my entry in Busse years ago. I had many and carried them all the time. Great blades! I currently only have a couple Max Wardens (not sure what the exact difference is) but they are mostly the same. While most here love big blades, they are not always practical. Can't go wrong with any of the small blades in the Busse line up.

The game warden is an awesome edc. Does the same stuff as a folder of the same size but better. There's no reason everyone shouldn't have one on their weakside every day.

The GW's I carry are 3.8oz and 5oz respectively. The sheaths add .75oz.
My ZT 0562cf weighs 5.7oz and IT'S ALREADY BROKEN!
Tough folders are great, but fact is, you can't make a folder as tough as a fixed blade.

Mostly...except the steel (Elmax), the grind (saber), and the blade thickness (.09"). ;):D:)

I've EDC'd a Game Warden for more than 10 years, along with a Vic Alox (recently, a pioneer X in the office, always with a farmer in the garden/woodshop/trail). I suspected just about everyone started out with a GW, usually from Skunk at the Busse Company Store. Over the years, I've let most go, but still keep two .140 satin/snakeskin LEs, two .140 satin/old-school green linens, and two .175 satin/tiger hides in trust for my two grandsons. And lately, the red G-10s have been calling me. I find it to me the perfect small and legal EDC and it doesn't alarm non-knifers like an Active Duty (my second EDC choice) or a SAR-3 or SAR-4 would (then there's the FBM LE in my car). The fat GWs are impressive, but not all that useful (unless you find yourself short a piton or have a serious up-close confrontation). JM2C.

I have a couple. ;):D
HAD a couple more...once.

(Not photoshopped)

Holy $$hit Jaxx ! Yeah, you had a couple for sure .

But I have to say ............... they don't look very used

NJ I read all that thread , but it was about 90% about the AMS and only mentioned the Game Warden once I think . The AMS is quite a different knife than the Warden .

My Warden is a .170" model . I'm going to hang on to it . But I just find it doesn't get much use .

Great little knife, fits well in my XL hand. .175 tigerhide handles.

Oh and as far as uses it handles everything except chopping. Lol. I like that I can slip it in my front pocket or belt carry or neck carry it. Heck even holding it in my mouth while I use my hands. Very handy. The micarta and G-10 ones are heavy except on belt. So to me it's more versatile and tough as can be. I carry a Vic alox cadet also everyday. My swamp wardens and Busse Skelly warden are my favorite small fixed blades. But I think the Skelly's handle is more comfortable than the swamp warden. http://

I miss my .27" Tuxedo Warden with Ban Tang stupid sharp convex edge.
