Anyone know of one?
Reason being is I am at work. Started work at 11am. Anyway, yesterday I leave work at 7pm. Get my gear together and end up waiting till about 9:30pm before leaving on a suicide run. I get to Willow, AK around 12:30am as Montana Creek is only open on weekends to King fishing. Well, I was wearing my dog tags, oink shirt, blasting cap and pd variant. So there I am, sitting, standing, kneeling, everything I can to stay comfortable for the next 8 hrs. My brother and his friend were with me and his friend landed a 25lb'er or so. Then let it go thinking we'd land some others. (You only get one per day, 5 per year). Well we freakin' didn't. My brother's friend had atleast a 50lb'er on the line for around 20 seconds before the FREAKIN' LINE SNAPPED
The chinooks have wicked teeth and he was able to manuever just right to cut that line with them. :grumpy: We sat there all night, no food, water, etc fishing away. At times it was slow, other times we were flipping off the fish for taunting us by jumping, rolling, etc right in front of us and our lures. I did snap some pics but will get those up later on tonight. Moving on, so I leave Willow around 8:30am this morning and get home (passed out on the way back and don't remember) about 10am. Grab a shower, blah blah blah and head to work.
Anyone have any lucky busse charms for fishing?!?
This weekend, I am so going to rip the ever loving crap outta some red salmon lips. And with that, the King salmon season is over. Just thought I would share it with you. No pics of chinooks but some of the river that may be nice for you enjoy.
