There's a local knife shop that has a groovemaster in it (black, black) with factory sheath. They have it labeled as a Tanker A for $319.00. It's a little store and most of there stuff is msrp or above. The only good thing is they usually have discontinued knives for their original msrp which can be good. What is a fair price for this knife. It's one of those hmmmm..... Make him a deal, leave it? I'm moving towards another hellrazor instead.

If it is a Groovemaster and not a Tanker A then that might be a little high, but not too bad. If it is a Tanker A, that is a deal and I'll send a MO for you to snag it for me! :D

That's what I figure I saw the sign and was like OH!!!!! No, I'm 1000000% sure it's a groovemaster. I might try a little wheelin and a dealin, but first time I've handled one, kind of weird the handle feels almost a little long for the blade length. I have pretty small hands though and had almost 2.5" left of grip on it. Neat little knife though. Guy also has a steel heart somewhere he said for 350, seeing as though they have no clue what they're talking about I'm hoping it's a battlemistress, we'll see :D

I wonder if they had a Tanker A and sold it as a groovemaster?

I don't know it is a weird store. They had lots of local customs which is pretty cool the busse was sitting amidst a bunch of CS master hunters and tantos so I almost missed it! My guess is they just put a random busse in there and figured 319 was fair for any model.

It's not the knife store KAAK used to work at is it? How many knife shops are there in Anchorage anyway?

There is one in the twin cities that has been known to carry some as well, but I never get the chance to drop in when I am in the area.

I can't remember the name of it I think it's northern lights knives or something like that also a big tobacco shop. I'll get the 411 tommorrow see what's up.

Progunner - what store in the "twin cities "* are you refering to? Not that I want to clean out anyones special Busse patch........but indeed a store carrying Busses is not common.

*presuming that you are talking about Minneapolis/St Paul - just needed to clairfy as there are other "twin cities"

Thanks

Turner

World of Knives in Hopkins closed it's doors last fall. I made sure they didn't have any Busses well over a year ago. I got 2 B3s - smooth and krinkle - for $110 each. Also picked up 2 NO-Es for $250 each. I know a guy at work who had a SH-E sold to him as a B7, and it went for less than $200. I told him to go there and ask for the B7, they goofed and sold him the SH-E. Lucky Dog. I then went and grabbed the B7. :D

Well, that means I don't have much need for going to Minn./St. Paul now. :)

That is some luck. Oh well hopefully that SH will come into that store soon. Hoping it's an E handle or maybe A2. Never know I guess.
