Looking for the best Busse model for defensive carry been a knife guy a long time mostly custom forged stuff. My state is surrounded by no carry firearms states and I carry fixed blades in the 6 to 9 inch range frequently. But lately I am strangely atracted to the Busse line. My first Busse was a long time ago a I believe it is called a Kensei or maybe an AK. I just recently got a Sarsquatch and I love it. The models that I am thinking of are a steel heart or a hellraiser. I was wondering what you guys have to say. Or is the Sarsquatch fine. I do not know names that well and am not sure of how many variations of steel hearts and hellraisers there are. does not have to be one of these but please post pics with your sugestions. Again I am looking for a 6 to lets say 7 inch blade give or take. What do you guys have to say. Here is a pic of my AK and the Sarsquatch is out getting leather

It sounds like the best Busse knife for defensive carry, for you, would be the 8" PBF, or, if that's too big, then the 6" PBF. Hard to find, but worth it.

Thanks Evolute what do you think of a hellraiser and what is the blade length of a hellraiser what do you prefer between the steel heart and hellraiser. I am not stuck on these knives but they seem readily available.

The Hellrazor and the Jackhammer/Satin Jack TAC feel like fighting knives to me and would be good choices. I would rank them:
1. Hellrazor
2. JackHammer
3. Satin Jack

Im a bit biased on this one but I would say Hell Razor and the Jackhammer are the two best blades for S.D. carry.

The Steel Heart doesn't fit my hand well, and I don't think the balance is ideal for a defensive knife. Between the two, I'd choose the Hellraiser. Having said that, keep in mind that I don't own either (but I have held them).

[Edited to add: I just realized you were probably asking about the Anniversary Steel Heart; whereas I was answering about the Fusion Steel Heart. Sorry about that. Oh, well, I see you bought the Hellrazor. I'm sure you'll be happy with it.]

Do not forget about the War Boar. Fantastic INFI for concealment and self defence. The finger ring is great for retaining the karambit for grappling, if one must resort to this.

I like the .32 thick INFI on the ASH-1.
There is an air of indestrructible about them.

Nice sword:thumbup:

The ASH1 feels great in the hand but seems to be more of a camp knife than the Hellrazor/Jackhammer. Would it work for self defense with the bonus of camp-versatility? Yep. :D

These are some pretty good fighters themselves:

The NARK is 5" and the Force One is 7" long. The band breaker on the F1 is sharp but the NARK is serrated and very sharp.

One thing about both the HR and the SJTAC is that they are both deceptively light in the hand. I'm assuming this is due to the balance of the knife. Either way... I am a big fan of both blades.

First, nice AK!

Second, you might look for an original Satin Jack.

Thanks guys all options seem great. Just bought Hell razor from forum member. Figured the Sarsquatch for camp duty and the hell razor for personal carry. I guess my AK for everything else but I can see how these things can get adictive. Any comments on Hell Razor and or pics would be much apreciated. I think I like the Busse forum spent most of my time on the custom one but I think I will come here more often . Thanks guys

My personal favorite Busse for self deffence in the Force One. It's hard to go wrong with that.
