Heavy Duty - black crinkle coat / black slabs, unused. Hey this is 1 of 90 I am told, with sheath $325.

Might be interested in trades for other Busse's. Gone pending Trade
The prices are shipped, USPS, insured, CONUS. MO or PP you pay the fee.

Got it. Thnx for the quick answer. But that's not the name of a separate Busse knife model is it? It refers to the thickness of the blade? The reason for my question is because in the "individual knives for sale" forum, Knives are identified simply as "Busse HD" or "Busse Heavy Duty Desert model"
I have emailed the sellers for info, but was getting impatient -- hadn't heard back from 'em yet.

HD is a seperate model and a company store exclusive.
There are approx 84 HD's.
The HD (.200) is a thick version of the AD (.150)
"Desert" simple refers to the knife being of Tan/Tan color combo, (approx 30).
Hope this is right.

Hi Smithsnoh,

Actually "Heavy Duty" is a specific model name. It's a special release version of the "Active Duty" but thicker.

Here is a pic:

That's what I needed:thumbup: . Looks like a 3 1/2 to 4" blade. Good looking knife. Thnx, gentlemen (woops, don't mean to insult you ;) )

It is 3.5". For reference, here is an Active Duty (same profile, thinner stock) shown next to a Badger Attack 3 LE (4.5") and Meaner Street (4"):

Hey Folks,

Sorry you were getting impatient for an answer but realize I am in the eastern time zone. I got your message at 12:35 this morning, this boy was sleeping by then..:p. I sent you an answer this morning but it looks like you already got your answer. Let me know if you are interested.

Yeah, thanks very much Briggz. I got your email bright and early this morn. Didn't actually realize that you East Coast guys needed that much sleep. ;) Very good looking knife which isn't pictured or "acronymed" on the regular sites. THanks very to you and the others who responded to my posts.

smithsnoh, i sent you a reply with pics at 6:46 on the 21st, didn't you get it?

Thanks, Dan, I sure did. Wasn't able to reply til a bit ago. I sent you an email in acknowledgement. These are attractive knives. I hadn't thought about 'em til now:thumbup: . Ummm.

The Active Duty is simply the best knife Busse ever made. Many people swear by the Heavy Duty, so it must be very, very good as well.

for another try. Leaving for vacation so if you are thinking about this knife, let me know quick.
