Busse in Resident Evil 5?

I haven't found a reference to this on the forum, so I apologize if this is a re-tread, but I was watching the latest trailer for the video game Resident Evil 5, and noticed that our hero appears to have a Busse strapped to his back.

I can't figure out how to screencap the image, but if you check out the trailer at the 2:05 mark, you'll see a handle that looks very familiar... http://www.gametrailers.com/player/22801.html
 
Handle style resembles one, but the area around the choil definitely does not.
 
Even with the similarity of the handle, I am not aware of any large Busse that has that handle shape. I am assuming of course that one would not have an EDC sized blade carried like that.

BTW, is that movie supposed to be in 3D?
 
Looked like it has a rear talon but the front was boxy/squared off, and no talon hole.

Probably designed to emulate but not copy exactly...
 
Sorry for the OT post but that is not a movie- it is a video game.

RE4 was one of the best games ever made and RE5 looks ready to top it based on the trailers I have been seeing....

Kind of Rat-daddy-ish

Sheath kind of looks like one I have from armoralleather.
 
Probably deliberate inspiration so to speak.

One of the knives in RE4 had very Mercworx look about it.
 
Nice catch JPM.

Definitely has a handle shape reminiscent of the Swamp Rat SRT handle that the old Rat Daddy, Rat Mastiff and Ratweiler had. I don't see the vertical handle grooves on this one, so it's not a complete ripoff. Looks more like hand-shaped micarta and only apprears to have two handle rivets.

As for the sheath, at 2:11 you can see the back of this guy and the sheath looks like an ABSOLUTE copy of Dwayne and Porkerson's HOSS rig design. I don't know how to so a screen capture either. I wonder if he'll ever see any money for that?;)

I remember seeing that vid awhile ago. Looks like a huge EU of some sort..
That game is going to kick ass!

Wow, I'd buy one! I really like it... If either Busse, or Swamp Rat built one of these they'd sell out in a minute.
