No, the Cr content is not high enough. However most comments about its corrosion resistance are positve. For example, INFI has been described to take just light surface corrosion while Carbon V will pit under similar enviromental conditions.

The powder coating on the BF busse's should help with corrosion. Greg, what didn't you like about the sheath? Was it made by the same company (High Desert Holsters) as the ones included with the BF version?
Thanks,
Stray,
The sheath I had was the old type still; fully kydex, including the large belt loop. The sheath would ride high up on your hip and the butt end of the knife would poke your ribs. The new sheath is a lot better.
Since this element was responsible for winning me a Mean Street (only 16 more weeks to go), I feel obligated to point at the thread which gives Jerry Busse's answer to your question Tuff. See http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/004304.html
Ross,
Man! Finally, a post from you! I'm not sure exactly what the difference is between INFI and modified INFI (i.e., the Busse Basics line). I think someone posted that the modified INFI has some element missing in the steel's makeup. BTW, going to the NY show in November?
The difference in preformance of the blade is minimal. In fact we test the Basic #9 at the Blade Show and it actually beat the Battle Mistress's test results.
Man I can't wait till I test this thing for myself against other blades.
