Busse-KIN blades becoming more exotic?

Busse is known for doing very cool, outside the box blades, and taking a lot of non-standard designs and producing them with a Busse twist.
Why haven't Scrapyard and Swamp Rat branched out similarly? There are a few blades that get outside the box in design, but many follow a similar pattern (at least as far as I've seen).
In the future, will we see further expansion of the Scrapyard and swamp rat designs? Maybe go down roads like, say, a Khukuri with a slightly elongated RES-C handle and a nice recurve shape similar to that of the TTKZ? Lets say a 12.5" blade?
A bushcraft blade maybe? something in the 4-5" range with a Scandi grind and 5/32" thick blade?
Or a Parang. That would be a fun way to enter the machete world.

Okay, I'm rambling now. But a Scrapyard or Swamp Rat khukuri would be cool. I'd drop the month's knife jar savings on that ;)

Either one of the other forums?
I thought there was just the Swamp Rat forum.
But yeah, I probably should bring this over there.

Yeah! I'm down for that. A parang would be AWESOME!!! Personally, I prefer them to a Kuk...

The bushcrafter idea is good. I'd like to see a Skandi-ground busse, but I'm thinking that SR101 might be the better choice for that.

But then again, the mora guys would really, really be ticked-off... but that would be kinda funny. :D

I've been hoping for a Busse bushcraft blade around 4" with a scandi grind for a long time. I would love to see one in the future. The closest busse bushcraft blade is the CABS which is a sweet knife.

A Busse bushcraft would be very high on my list too. I'm guessing we don't see one as I don't think it fits in with the company profile - Busse Combat. Would be nice though. Would the Custom Shop put a scandi grind on a CABS perhaps, maybe round the handles off a bit too...

Chris.

That's what I thought too! But on the other hand, the Bravo 1 from BarkRiver, a classic Bushcrafter, was developed with the assistance of the training unit of the Force Recon of the U.S. Marine Corp.

I'd love to see a Bussecrafter!!!!

I had a TTKZ and handled a KZ2.

In my opinion both were a little too heavy for me. I'm not by any means a small or weak man, but the fatigue from chopping was intense.

Hopefully if one came out in Res C that would shave some weight off.

Tony

A res c Khukri or chopper is really all I want right now. None of the other recent offerings have had me break out the credit card...

We all need to take this LOVE for a RES-C Khuk' over the the "KhukRat death chant" thread in the Swamp Rat forums and maybe we can make it happen!!!
