I don’t know why my last post about this thread was removed.

Maybe because the thread title was “Patina contest win shop credit!!!!” …
That one got removed.
This one is still up. I was thinking there was some kind of cover up going on regarding the swamp. Lol.
That contest has been going for over a year with no winner announced. Someone made a good point. If no new knives are being released. Then no shop credits to give.

I have a theory.
- The never ending patina contest.
- The mysterious Magnacut n the house thread.
- the disappearance of the Ratmandu from the swamp. ( I know , old news)

= The winner of the contest gets a credit for a knife that will not patina.
The return of the Ratmandu…. in Magnacut!

I would kill for a thinner ratmandu in Magnacut.

Would not be hard to do at all - Magnacut like all "pm" steels are cheaper to process than ingot and tooling methods as labor is drastically reduced - I am not sure where the break even point is but with sufficient interest - I am sure the powers that be might consider it - or if not - possibly consider a joint effort with a company setup in-house for powdered metallurgy. These are expensive toys for most of us - These are not the bread and butter that is supplied at a severely competitive cost to our service men and women in action - "they get the K-bars or whatever is under contract at the time" unless they have disposable income on hand to buy something more like a Busse.

I wanted to edit this and add that the majority of my immediate family is currently or has been active - I currently own many Busse knives and many other fine designer names as well - I have several siblings that are active duty and several that are in the "SO" category - I like Busse - They actively carry Broadwell - I hope that mentioning that name does not present a edit from a mod as I truly appreicate the community here but i do understand how the "individual or designer" threads work.
