HOGs,

I feel the need to apologize for the auction event that was started and then temporarily stopped due to unexpected and unHOGlike behavior.

And although I am apologizing for what transpired, I'm really not sure that what happened was my fault.

Here's how it went down:

At 7:00 pm last night, we posted the auction and were immediately bombed with emails and max bids from a large number of HOGs. . . .You would think that's a good thing right? . . . You would be wrong!

Not a SINGLE bid came in under the regular price! NOT ONE!!! In fact many of them were 100s of dollars more than the regular price!!!:mad:

What is wrong with you people??? . . . . . You have destroyed the very essence of what an auction is supposed to be! :confused:

Are you not HOGs??? Have you not witnessed and/or participated in HOG Trough Warfare??? :confused:

Have you not seen the carnage??? The gouging, the trickery, and the bone breaking stampede to score a blade???:thumbup:

I am appalled by this over-the-top generosity and charitable behavior!!! :grumpy:

Shame is upon you HOGs!!!

The idea behind letting you crazed knife lovers in on the auction was to give you a chance at scoring a Busse Kin blade at a great price! . . A discounted price! :thumbup:

I posted the regular prices with the idea that you would come in with bids that would be 20-30% lower than the regular price. . . You know, like true HOGs. . . . Not 40-60% higher!!! . . :confused:

What are you? . . . A bunch of hippies???

We've spent years observing the most aggressive, “if you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin' ” behavior of any group of knife collectors in the free world. . . and now this?:(

Hang your heads in shame HOGs!. . . This is a dark day in the history of Busse Combat!!!:o

Since you have forgotten how to behave like true HOGs we will be implementing some new rules!!!

We will NOT sell a single blade for more than the regular price!!!. . . NOT gonna happen!!!

You have forced us to do this “Ganzaaa” style. . . You have given us no other choice!

So, tonight at precisely 10:00 pm Eastern it will begin!. . . .

There will be a “buy it now” option where the first HOG in at the full price will score the blade!

If the knife doesn't get a bid at the full price, it will go to the auction tomorrow night. (Luckily they have no idea which knives I plan on bringing) If they all sell, then I will take other knives to the auction!!!

I expect to see some bids come in at a “Lower than regular price” . . I mean that was the idea right? . . . Am I the only one who thought this?

So, tonight, as you charge into the trough . . . and you are deafened by the battle cry of “No Regrets! from the hoard of INFI HOGs around you . . . . think to yourself. . . “What would I do if I were made of bacon?”

Please don't let me down again!!!. . . I'm not sure that I have enough scotch to take another hit like this!

how about you offer up an option where if a person does not score a blade, but would still like to donate, can do so?

sort of like, "I bid so and so, on knife number 4 gozillion, but if I don't win, would still like to pitch in $25 to help out."

Is this the smallest ganza ever?? Should be fun, hope I can get to a computer tonight! Hopefully more show up later today!! Im sure the "donations" from this will def be appreciated!
 
So 9-10 Eastern is (converting GMT -6 plus something and carry over something else...)... Aww hell.... I will just get home from work, feed the dogs and park myself on the forum. This IS payday Friday after all :D

I'm sorry, what was the address for that auction? I must have missed it.

Of course, one would have to be Mad to drive two hours for an auction, but for Anthony, it would be worth it.
