I don't know about the Steel Heart, but Ron Hood has some good pics at his website of the Battle Mistress. In fact, I've not seen any pics of the Steel Heart anywhere either. Maybe we can get Andy to lend a hand.

Why the variation in the blade tips?

This is a great thread. The tip variations on some of the knives, like Boriqua's and GRNamin's, is because they own Busse Custom Variants...individual custom knives based on a standard model pattern. Sometimes they are one-of-a-kind...sometimes two of a kind. They are created at the grinding wheel as Jerry feels moved to create a shape or fashion a particular geometry to the knife.
