Can anyone tell me any information on the two Busse Field Grade knives in this picture. I bought them from Busse at a gunshow many years ago. Thanks.

If you repost in the Busse Combat Knives forum, you'll likely be buried in answers and be quite pleased with what you'll be able get for your knives.

Those models definitely don't come up very often.

Moved from Custom knives to Busse Forum.

Good luck, those are some nice unique pieces.

However, please be aware no selling is allowed on this forum. Only discussion. Please be cautious not to solicit sales.

Eric

Gentlemen,

The OP has been warned against selling on BFC. You should not be asking him to sell or sending him messages and putting him the position that will get him in trouble.

Those are very nice.

I don't know their value and there are only a few guys that have been around long enough to tell you.

The one with handle slabs reminds me a little of famous "polar drop" model. Definately you have two treasures.

Anyone have ideas on the values of the Busse's...
Ken, I'm not trying to sell them on this forum, just trying to get some opinions on the names & possible values. I know there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this forum.
Thanks for the information...

Let's delve into this....

Your first is post asking for info such as value.

You make a comment that you need to sell.

Am I missing something? You're not trying to sell?

Sorry, but I'm not buying it that your not trying to sell. I've seen enough posts like these to tell me otherwise. You could have easily asked for the names and found your values elsewhere. Calling Busse directly would have been the first step.

Actually, even if you contacted Busse direct, it is going to be extremely hard to put values on those knives. I'm fairly certain if you did contact Busse direct they would have you post on this forum and ask for an idea of value. Busse Combat does not follow the second hand market of their knives.

The knives are rare, the last one I saw sell was in 2003 at Blade show (the airborn ranger).

If you want to sell them and get the most for them your best bet is to put them on an auction site.

I've never seen either, so as others point out, value is tough to figure. No comps to go by.

Eric Isaacson, I'm glad you answered the GP question. I knew the G was Gerald, but didn't know the "P". I live a few hours away from Busse, but haven't seen him at a gunshow for many years. I have a couple other knives that I'm pretty sure were made by Busse, but are sterile (ie no name on the blade).

why sell them unless you have to anyways. you have there something everyone on this whole forums wants, if i were you hold that over all there heads :D but really DONT SELL THOSE, unless you have docter bills or a house fire don't sell those save there value for a time you really need them.
