Lets start this off right!! List the knife, or knives you have to swap, What you would like to try out, The length of time you would like to swap, and any restriction/expectations/ intentions. Be clear up-front what you are OK with and NOT ok with.
Please try Not to chat, or comment here on this thread. If you are interested in a posted swap, contact the member who posted the ad. If there is too much chatting here it will be hard to filter through all the comments, and eventually people wont bother. Use this thread only for posting your interest for swaps, not to negotiate or ask questions. All this should be done by PM or email.
Once you make a swap, you would need to come back and edit your ad, so others are not contacting you for the swap. Once the swap is made you can put at the top of your ad that its CURRENTLY SWAPPED, Once you get your own knife back It would be easiest to just edit it out completely and leave the word complete, delete, or whatever so others are not reading thru the entire thing just to find out it has been swapped at the bottom. It will also help keep this thread neat and easy to browse.
In order for this to work, everyone involved will have to treat borrowed knives better than you would your own. Make sure wood is free of nails, dont chop wood over concrete, ect.
If there is any questions, Or if should add any rules please PM or email me and I will Update this post. You can also ask questions, or comment here....

Just a few suggestions...
With these temp trades, both parties are on their own, so take the steps to do things right. Photo your knife or knives before shipping off, so that there's no question on departing condition...and it would be advisable to photo incoming trades as well as when you ship them back to the other party. Good clear, properly lit and focused photos will help to resolve a very high percentage of potential issues that may arise concerning a knife's use while away on trade.
Just like doing a deal in the Exchange, ship with insurance (that both parties agree to) and with tracking. Neither party is the Seller, neither is the Buyer, so if one knife disappears in transit, insurance is to protect BOTH parties from a loss.
Be specific about your conditions for the temp trade in your listing. Make them clear from the beginning. Details like "no abuse, batonning is OK" is very good.
Be clear when discussing terms with the other party, and having a record via email or PM as to the final agreed upon terms is good to have for both parties.
Above all, respecting another's property more highly than your own while in your possession is a very good rule to go by.
...Just some suggestions.
I hope that this idea works really well and I hope that the "swappers" take pix and write up reviews for posting here.
