Hi everyone. I inherited some Busse knives and I was hoping I could find out what they are worth. I was told I could ask value with the gold membership but if I am breaking any rules please let me know.

Thanks so much for the help.

Here are the knives with what I think are the correct names.

Satin Jack - looks like the edge has been reprofiled.

Hi Shniggysaurus Shniggysaurus ,

My condolences of you've lost someone close to you (hence inheriting these knives).

I don't know exact values, as they do change constantly based on supply/demand. The best place to look is in the Busse exchange forum here on BF - just use a search function within the exchange forum and you should find some listed prices. Just from a brief search:

The Satin Jack looks to be around $500+ depending on condition...

DSSF looks to be around $400.

The SHe (Steel Heart Ergo) looks to be around $400 +/- $50.

Now, I'm not the best at these pricing.... But these are some reference points. So I'm hoping someone else can help chime in.

Hope that helps.

Thanks so much for the reply. The problem I am having with the sellers forum is that people love to delete the price their knives sold for. I'm not sure why so many folks do this but it makes it a heck of alot more difficult to find a good solid value. But I really appreciate your numbers. That gives me a great starting point.

Yeah, it's tough to get an accurate price, especially with older models. Because models aren't re-introduced often, depending on the model and how sought-after they are, their value can go up by a good bit from "release prices". Ultimately, the market dictates the "price", rather than value.

Good luck!

Those values listed by lmcq784 look pretty accurate. You might also check Completed Listings in The Bay to see what some of these actually sold for there. Good luck in your search.
