busse knives

Are busse knives really worth the money?

Yes. For what you get, they are worth the money and then some. You get a knife that will outperform any other knife out there. Bar none. They hold an edge an incredibly long time and put up with amazing abuse. And hey, if you break one, send it in and they send you a new one. No questions asked. How's that for value?!

How good are they?

Very. Use one and you'll understand.

I've never used one, but I played with them at the blade show. They looked and felt tough, but they were heavy as hell. Unbreakable I have no doubt, but I'd rather carry a lighter blade. It all depends on your priorities and preferences.

They make a wide variety of knives. Heavy and light. Some are a very good value. If you dont find youself totally liking their stuff, just take a look at Swamp Rat knives, another part of Busse. They cost less, are a little different and are also a terrific value.

I actually prefer the Swamp Rat models over the Busse line - the handles are more comfortable and other than that, they're pretty much equal IMO (except for the prices of the SRs which are much lower than those of the Busses).

I'd really like to own a Busse (or two), but I'm too damn poor to buy one.:(.

I will own my first when the line up gets released. I can't wait! I am very impressed with the Swamp Rats I have!

For the use I give my big blades I use my Swamp Rat more than any other...
