Busse LEO thread?

I'm a big fan of Busse knives, however, hate the fact that I am unable to carry a busse knife while on duty. My department has us wearing Class A uniforms, so you really can't get away with carrying a fixed blade knife. I carry an assisted opening folder in my pocket, and I use that thing probably as much, if not more, than everything else on my belt.

I decided to make this thread to call out to other law enforcement officers to see if you carry a busse while on duty, and if so, what is your set up? I was thinking that a war boar with a tac-vest would probably work well. Pictures would be great if you have em!

Also feel free to post any LE related photos with your Busse knife :D

p.s. if jerry is reading, an edc folder for the LE community! ;)

We don't have to wear class A in my agency. Until we do I plan on just tossing my MS Ergo in the pocket of my BDUs. otherwise, I'm not sure how I would carry it. Maybe an ankle holster somehow.

We have BDU's during certain parts of the year, I wouldn't have thought a ms would fit in there well, but good advice!

If you have front pants pockets, no reason not to pocket carry a skelly/rat warden or scrapivore. ;)
Buy Brown has an awesome pocket kydex design that works very well with almost no print.
Another option would be to incorporate it into wherever you keep your spare magazines for your sidearm.

I like to keep what I do quite as possible. It isn't anything special, just to many idiots out there these days. I keep a folder on my weak side in case I get attacked some day and I need something to poke my said attacker till he or she complies. Haha lawyer talk. I use to have a fixed blade but it got caught on everything. Fence, seat belt, walls to name a few.

I agree completely with you, especially with the way things are going these days. But figured why not behind the anonymity of the Internet lol.

A Busse tactical folder would be great

I carry a Koenig Atrox and sometimes drop my Skeleton Key in my pocket, but don't regularly carry a fixed blade. I do keep a Dumpster Mutt .....and larger fixed blades in my unit.

This. It's a good idea.

I'm not law enforcement, I am Firefighter Lt. I know our uniforms are different, but we wear class A's during normal hours and class b/c after. I work in a dangerous district and we are not allowed to carry any firearm for self protection but we can and are encouraged to carry a knife. I may be the only one in my department that carries a fixed blade. I usually carry a War Dog, Dumpster mutt, or one of my other Busse knives under 5 inches. All in black kydex with leather drop loop tight to my side right next to my radio.
