Now that look slike the Jack Hammer pictured in the Competition Finish thread that Jerry posted... Guess it's true, not an upcoming model... :(
 
Those micarta pistol grips are awesome. Cool texturing on the silde too. I don't really like the ridges on the blade though.
 
They are micarta Mark. It does look like g-10 though.

I would love to have one of his AR's, have heard his are real tackdrivers. May have to sell my Colt and get one

really?

i thought they were like the smog g10 to match the knife.
 
Yeah, that's what I though untill I checked his website last week.

It looks just like g-10 in the pics though.


edit- I just checked again and it just said the pistol has "special grips", didn't say what material???

The knife is micarta, so I assume they are the same:confused: not sure though

There's a gun shop in houston that has 2 sets of these... Make you want to sell everything you have to get one! If it was a different color finish on the gun I'd probably do it.

Very nice though, very nice.
 
I happened to see the set in a local gunshop. They want north of 4 grand, said it comes with a flashlight too. (as if that makes it worth 4 large) At that price I didn't even ask for them to let me fondle it. Too rich for my blood. later gdwtvb

4 grand? That smells like dealer markup to me. Les Baer pistols aren't that expensive, are they? I can't imagine the pistol costing more than $2200 or so. That set shouldn't cost more than 3 grand, tops. That said, I LOVE both the gun and the knife. I hope we see the Jack Hammer as an offering sometime in the near future- it looks friggin' awesome. (I'm one of the few guys who likes both the TAC handle and the CBT)
 
The prices listed at Baer's site for the Busse Blade + Pistol pkg are : $2889 w/o light rail and $3480 with. As to the pistol's grips, "The coordinated pistol grips and knife handles are both made from beautiful, durable Canvas Micarta with matching patterns." Pete
 
Photo is a bit dark but do I see a SFNO ? I'm going to upgrade from a 9 to a 45 someday and I'd prefer a matching SFNO companion as well. But, for something that IS available, the Les Baer combo is pretty sweet. Pete
 
Do you know how hard it is to take a picture of something BLACK. I really brightened this pic and jacked up the contrast to see it. The Busse Black G-10 pistol grips on the Colt .45 Commander and the Black G-10 CG FBM make a real STEALTHY pair!
