I was just checking the ordering web site and found out.....FBM LE is still offering

Confused me a little.......how can it be LE when......there is no Limit on the order?

I always thought the LE work like this:
The FBM will only be 300 made or 500 made. If you are late, you aint getting. Get early next time or find one with crazy price on 2nd market.

Does Busse Limited Edition System make sense to you:confused:

Yeah, it does. they will make as many LE knives as are ordered for that one run. My understanding is that the limited edition signifies that that particular LE combination will never again be offered after the one run is finished.

The other thing in common with LE's (I'm pretty sure) is that they are always satin finish.

The difference...

You will see the CG's offered in one or more rounds via the Company Store.

If you don't order an LE now from the Shop, you'll be paying secondary market prices if you want one later. When they're yanked from the website, they're gone.

unless theres a spare cache of them left in a forgotten shop corner :D

but the idea is they wont ever be manifactured from scratch again....

you can always pay custom prices to get one if you find they arent available on the secondary market :D

my understanding is that the LE's were to be 300 in number, but Jerry might have increased that number to compensate for the lack of Satin and DC versions on the CG's. That would make sense. Either way they will be collectibles.

As far as I understand, it's just the top-of-the-line for that particular model.

Satin finish, special grips.

It doesn't mean that there are a "limited" amount available for order while they are for sale.

I don't care how many LEs are made--mine will still be one of a kind. It will have a scratch here or a scuff there and there won't be another like it in the world. He, he, can't wait!:D

Looks like Extravaganzaaaa is actually, literally Limited in number of run.

those are left overs from special group orders. So there are more but they were sold as a large order to some unknown group. So in effect you are correct.

interesting... i thought they had a commentary on the "limited" term on the website... i kind of remember seeing one there before... i thought the
"limited" that was used in the production lines meant that that combination of blade features would never be reproduced (.320" satin+mag tiger hide)

it would be intersting to do a similar run like the NICKs, where x amount were serialed, then after that they were just plain with the custom shop logo.

theres one of the references to the nature of the "limited edition" that busse uses. iether a limited edition version wont be offered, or that set of features wont be offered (i'm assuming features).

that was a fun search. lots of cool blades....

this is true, once the machines are changed to the next model the fbmle will never be made again in that config.
