This is one of the 2 Prototypes known to exist. There were more, 9 IIRC, but some were destroyed, some lost and some ?????

I don't have a digi cam, but there is a pic on Bad Mojo of the other existing example which belonged to 1whobuys. That one and mine are the only 2 that have surfaced after several years of looking and asking around. Both are identical.

This is NOT one of the blades with no grips that were sold during last years extravaganza sale. These were used for testing before the original Lean Mean Street went into production years ago.

A very rare blade and a nice piece of Busse history.

$375 shipped CONUS. Paypal+3% SOLD

E/M me if you have any questions. wetdog1911@aol.com

Thanks for looking.

A third? Cool. Or is it 1whobuys? I think he cut his loose a couple of years ago.

After accounting for the ones lost or destroyed there should still be 4 or 5, but only the 2 surfaced. If there is a third, it's been in an INFI black hole for some time.

Still, a very rare piece.

A guy at a local gun show that knows I collect Busse knives offered it for sale to me, I think he got it straight from Busse. I can't remember if it had a satin or beadblasted finish, I do remember the flat grind on the blade used a rougher finish (belt) than normal. He was also asking more than you are for yours.

:D

Yep, that sounds about right. They weren't finished to any great degree as they were to be tested and not admired. Grind marks are visable in mine as well.

Price is likewise, as I'm selling mine for much less than the market value.

Wilma put a hurting on us, as my shop had no power for close to 2 weeks and that really put a ding in the finances.

It hurts, but money can be remade. Not like what Katrina did to NO.

Bump

Still hurting from Wilma

Possable trades for straight handles. The actual worth is more to the $500 mark. SHBA's with the smooth or slotted fasteners are my weakness.

Man oh man, what a interesting piece of Busse history. Notice no holes on her, at least no talon hole. Can't tell if there is one in the rear from the pic. Check out the squared off choil. Very cool piece you got there Rob. Great price for such a rare Busse. Wish I had the dough! :(

Good luck bro. Somebody is going to be one lucky HOG!
