Busse Machete + Res-C?

All the great KZ's (TT's & otherwise) that's been on the Exchange lately have made me realize there's a hole in my lineup...

I don't have a Busse machete... :eek:

But....but...I'm holding out....

FWIS, either a Barong or Kuhkri shaped Busse blade begs a Respirene-C handle...

I realize the tang would need modification, like a Basic model...

You gotta admit all the love for the Scrapyard's 1311 would seem to attest to the benefits of choppers + Res-C...

It's gotta be doable with all the engineering prowess that IS BUSSE COMBAT...

But, what do I know? ...I'm just a wee piglet...

and I don't grind 'em...I just buy 'em...

I'll take mine with Mudders ;)

I'd prefer a golok or parang over a barong but I'd take any. It would be great to see a Busse ethnic series. All big knives with Res-C.
 
I think Jerry is too scared to make a machete that is 12-16 inch long with 1/8" inch thick.....INFI might not take it well if it gets abused :D

Sorry to hear that!

I'm under the impression now that they do a lot more customization of existing models. I got an NMFSH from Garth with no modifications.

I'm thinking about requesting some custom work on it.
 
Solstice! Man where ya been? Welcome back. We miss the old crew.

Some piglets were talking about going out into the CA desert, looking the mythical INFI gold mine in the cave. Maybe you could help, or set them straight.
 
A machete in 9/64 inch (3.5 mm) carbon steel would be sweet with a res-c handle. I would prefer something with a 14 to 16 inch blade. My 1311 is nice but can be too heavy for what I typically want to use it for and I can comfortably carry a 16 inch blade strapped to my leg. Anything bigger may as well be a 22 inch blade for me.
 
I really REALLY like this idea! 18" blade would be fantastic and thin is definitely in, no more than 1/8" thick.

It is time for the Buchete!
