Hi, I'm buying a used Meaner Street. It should arrive in the next day or so. Does anyone here have and use one? Do you like it? What do you use it for? Any thoughts or comments appreciated.

If I hadn't so many smaller Bark River knives, I'd love to own a Meaner Street.
It should cut very well due to the thinner stock.

I'd use it for cutting, carving, whittling, opening packages, food prep, etc ... small EDC blade.

Good morning, I know it's early but I'm thinking the meaner is thicker than the mean. The leaner is thinner stock than the other two. If you don't like it. Get a hold of me. I carry a meaner quite often.

You are right Sir and I stand corrected.
MS is thicker than LMS.

Take a look in these threads. They are up your alley.
Small Busse appreciation (AMS Heavy)
Mean Streets thread

Judging by my post in the second oe, it sems like I am going to be waiting for your pics...
Looking forward to landing one of these, as I only have an AMS at the moment.

According to the Busse Collector site, the meaner is longer and thinner than the mean street. The leaner meaner is thinner still.

Mean Street: 3.5" blade, 8.26" OAL, .250 thick
Meaner Street: 4.0" blade, 8.63 OAL, .220 thick
Leaner Meaner: 4.0" blade, 8.63 OAL, .150 thick

(Busse Collector lists what I called the "Leaner Meaner" as "Lean Mean Street." I believe a Lean Mean Street is actually a thinner version of the 3.5" bladed version, anf the "Leaner Meaner" the thinner version of the 4.0" bladed Meaner Street.)

(Also not that these are different from the more recent Anniversary Mean Street (AMS) and the more recent still recent Mean Street Ergo.)

To add to the confusion, there are versions out there with a thickness in between the MrS and the LrMrS. Those have been called (unofficially) Tweaners. IIRC, the MiliGanza Streets were Tweaners.

It arrived today. I really like it. It's a handy size, sharp with a good point and feels nice in the hand.
