Hey people,
can someone help me? i'm looking for information all the time.
I'm considering swapping the scales from my FFG Moabolo for others. but for that I would have to know whether the tang is skeletonized.
does anyone know?
I thought that the tang is skeletonized because the ffg version is much lighter than the CBT version and only from the saber grind I think that won't come, right?
maybe someone has his ffg moabolo stripped and can say something about it !?

I'd expect little to no skeletonizing under the handle on those, it's a big long blade. That means the handle needs more mass to counterbalance in order to yield a relative neutral balance within a couple inches of the guard. Only way to find out is to pull of the handles and look under them.... or you could X-Ray that knife too.

Hast Nobody a true Plan about this?
No one Stripped a moabolo FFg and had have an Look under the scales?

Stripping doesn't mean scales coming off in 99.99% of cases of stripping!

And I'm afraid that F&STS is right, for this much blade real estate skeletonized tang could mean a few broken wrists!

None of the MOABolos are skeletonized under the handles, they would be even more front heavy if they were. I have stripped both FFG and CBT in the past.

hi and thanks for your answer. :)
did you remove the scales for stripping and rivet them again?
Yes, many times with many models. Light Brigade or Ultra Light models get skeletonized, virtually nothing else does. Most models need more removed out front for better balance than vice versa.

Has it been difficult to find the right tubes for the moabolo? look for me there broken.
the only model where I still know a skeleton is the ASHBM right?
