Busse Newbie - Need help

Hey guys . . . long time knife collector, first time Busse owner:

I took the plunge and ordered an AK from the Company Store before they are all gone.

Here's the kicker: My wife would only let me order it under the pretense that it was my birthday present. So here I am . . . a nice big 36" USPS mailing tube shows up yesterday with a return address of "B.C.S. , Idaho".

Now this mailing tube will sit unopened, until my birthday . . . which is in 3 weeks.:eek:

Oh, the agony . . .

But hey, didn't you ever break into your grade cards before your parents got home? I remember steaming them open to see if I was going to get it. Break into the AK and fix the package back up!!!! No way you can go WEEKS.....
 
Congrats on the AK, and welcome to the Busse Forum. Be sure to post some BDay pics when you open it.

I'm sure you'll love it, they are fantastic.

Do you have a dog?

You could always rip it open and blame the dog... I know it worked wonders for me back in middle school!
 
HA, HA!:D My AK (OD Green) is waiting for me to free it from the PO today. Honestly, I feel your pain. Buy something else off the exchange to hold you over. Make it something small so the wife doesn't notice.:cool: What color did you get?

I failed miserably the other night in trying to score a fire warden... So I went ahead and grabbed a black/black AK :D Maybe mine will show up today... I won't be waiting 3 weeks to open though ;)
 
LUCKY! :thumbup: I must order an AK, too. But I just paid $2,200 for a transmission rebuild. Damn Fords.:mad:

go down to the P.O. and pick up another 36" box, put a brick inside and some taping on it and replace it with the other box. Take the original box with the AK inside and remove it ...and use it!:D ...try to beat the hell out of it!:thumbup: The day before your B-day take the AK, put it back in the box, wrap it all up and switch the boxes again ! When you open it at cake time...and your wife asks why they sent a abused AK , tell it's not and abused one...it's a used one,:eek: with character!:D , it was cheaper ordering it that way. Tell her 50% off, used sale! She'll be happy that you know how to buy knives at a bargain and wont question you in the future!....will it work?:confused: .....maybe!:D

Sweet!!! Welcome to the forum, and the addiction!

I love my AK... but waiting 3 weeks?!?!?!? OUCH!

Tell here you need to open it to make sure no damage occured in shipping... or... that you need to check to make sure you got the right one, as Skunker usually ships these things while drunk, so who know what's in the box!!! :D :thumbup:

Or, you really COULD try steaming it open.

I'm ... a less than young man. And even I don't have the patience to wait three weeks for an AK.

That's just inhuman, man!
 
TELL her that the dang thing was SO SHARP, that it sliced through from the INSIDE, and FELL OUT...

mike biz: I picked the urban grey / black micarta model.

valleytinworks: There are three AK models listed in the Busse Company Store. They are on the last page of the "order list", right above the War Boars.

Now my next "big wait": I just finished talking over details with Stacy, so Dwayne can build me a nice kydex fusion dundee rig for this monster: black mottled leather with a "Punisher" skull burned into it.

I'm worried the zombies will run in fear from the sight of this thing & I'll never get to use it. ;)

Tell her how this upcoming birthday in particular has really gotten to you and made you think about your mortality and junk. She'll feel sorry for ya and give in. Works for sex too
