Busse numbering

I have been looking at the Busse sob both new and used. I have noticed that the new ones seem to be numbered and the old ones not.

Any difference in these? Are counterfeits something to be concerned with in this case?

The SOB LE's are numbered and currently offered on website. The comp finish and variants and customs are not. Those were offered at shows and in ganzas. But I'm still a newbie, so if I missed something or have it wrong. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along.

You said it very well. In any Busse model, only the LE's (almost always satin-finished) are numbered; any other finish also including double-cut (bead-blasted) and coated are not numbered.

Welcome to BladeForums and the Busse forum in particular! Unfortunately with many popular items, counterfeits can be a concern, although if a fake Busse ever showed up on BF it would quickly be spotted and called out.
 
Welcome to All things Busse.....Mostly correct...however there are some Special Edition items numbered by the total quantity to be produced....as in....1 of 300 etc.

The Counterfeits are generally seen on the auction sites as is stated above they would be quickly spotted and culled in the exchange here...

Notice he does not say to destroy your credit card (in case you find a knife that you REALLY NEED), just let it cool off in the freezer between using it. ;):D

Edited to say I found it under the Shop Now/Shop Knives tab--just not where I was looking on the current knives crawler at the bottom of the Busse home page. Didn't realize all current knives weren't shown there. Thx.
